![]() ![]() It's been over a decade since the last mainline Diablo game first released, and though various spin-offs and remasters have come out in the time since, fans have been desperate for the next fully-fledged entry. Though some of these groundbreaking 90s franchises haven't made the transition into modern gaming, a good handful have, with Diablo being one of the best. Titles like Doom, Half-Life, Age of Empires, StarCraft, and of course, Diablo, can all be seen today in the gaming industry, baked into the very DNA of the genres they helped start or popularize. The 90s saw a plethora of excellent titles launch, a good deal of which would go on to influence and shape the modern gaming industry as a whole. Diablo 4's Season 1 adventure will begin on July 20, 2023, at 10:00 am PDT, at which time players will need to create new characters on the special Seasonal Realm to enjoy all it has to offer.The 1990s was an incredibly influential time for gaming, and in particular, the PC gaming world. Season of the Malignant will be Season 1 for the game and is expected to last roughly three months before that story ends for a new one to take its place with Season 2. Season Journeys in Diablo 4 will provide additional content from both a story perspective and items, mounts, and transmogs for players to enjoy. Once a character has been logged in, the system will automatically connect these items to the account and no further action will be needed. ![]() ![]() Unfortunately, due to the last-minute response, in order for this to happen players must log in on their current characters after the patch downloads on July 18. This update will allow for Altars of Lilith, revealed areas of the map, and corresponding Renown to carry forward to new characters, including the Seasonal Realm characters. Diablo 4 developers listened to player feedback and incorporated some last-minute changes into the game for the patch update that will install on July 18. ![]()
